The Mixtape is a 4ft tabletop game born in a workshop, not a factory. It’s a hybrid of shuffleboard and curling that’s built to be used, shared, and passed down. Because these are hand-made, no two boards are exactly the same—each one carries its own grain patterns and the small marks of the tools that shaped it.

We use standard 12mm plywood for the base and the frame. Why? Because it’s tough, it stays flat, and it doesn't "cup" or warp over time. We don't hide the material, either. The outside edges show off the raw end-grain, sanded smooth and clear-varnished so it feels great in your hands and shows the structural soul of the board.

The playing floor is a thick pour of resin that we’ve hand-waxed and polished. It’s a smooth, deep surface that gives the pieces a beautiful glide. To keep the peace while you play, we’ve lined the inside edges with neoprene rubber. It dampens the "clack" of the pieces hitting the sides, giving the game a quieter, more grounded feel.

We start with pre-cast aluminum and turn them into our unique playing pucks right here at home. We 3D-design and print the tops ourselves, so you can pick from a bunch of different colors to suit your style. They slide on Teflon feet, which interact perfectly with the waxed resin surface for a natural, satisfying feel.

- The Bare Wood: Shows off the natural warmth and grain of the birch.
- The White-Wash: A stained finish that gives it a cool, icy "curling rink" look.
Make It Yours Because we build these one by one, you get to call the shots. You can choose the colors for the scoring rings, the numbers, and the logos (the lines stay black to keep things readable). If you have your own one-color logo, we can even bed that under the resin for you so it’s a permanent part of your board.

- Size: Roughly 4ft long by 18 inches wide (each one varies slightly).
- Playing Surface: Hand-poured 3–4mm epoxy resin, finished with furniture wax and a mechanical polish.
- Included: 8 of our custom aluminum/Teflon weights.
PRICE: £199 (Includes your choice of colors and custom name. Custom logos are subject to complexity and may incur a £10 design fee.)

It starts with a raw sheet of plywood. It takes about half a day of hands-on work to cut the base and frame before they are glued and clamped together. Once set, we sand the board down, making sure the wood is smooth while keeping its natural character.

Sealing the Grain Before any graphics go down, the entire board—top and bottom—gets two full coats of varnish to seal it up. This takes a full day to ensure the wood is properly protected.

This is where the board gets its identity. We measure and hand-apply the scoring lines first. Then, we head to the laptop to prep any custom logos for vinyl cutting. Once the vinyl is applied to the wood, we add a third coat of varnish to lock everything in place.

The resin stage is the most delicate part of the build. We level the board and isolate it to keep the dust away. The resin is mixed and poured over a 40-minute window, where we work carefully to get the smoothest finish possible. It’s then left untouched for 48 hours to ensure a rock-solid cure.

The last step is the most satisfying. We spend about 30 minutes mechanically waxing and polishing the resin until it has that deep, inviting glow. Only then do we give it a final inspection and get it ready for its new home.
